Be part of the excitement as Le Ono cuts the ribbon to their delightful offerings. Join us in savoring the magic they bring to O’Fallon

We’re Bruce and Karen Carlson. We recently moved to the Metro East area of Illinois. It’s a whole new world out there. Our goal with this website is to share our exploration of the Metro East area. As we find businesses and services we use in our daily lives, we’ll share how these businesses and services have helped make our lives better and easier to live.

We’re calling our move to the Metro East area retirement, but we’re not quite sure what that means. By sharing our store with you, we hope you too will gain a better sense of what the Metro East area has to offer and how their businesses and services can improve your lives and build a better community.

Let’s cut a ribbon

It was a clear cool day for the ribbon cutting. Karen and I joined a large crowd of chamber members and locals to cheer on Lisa and Talani as they cut the ribbon in front of Le Ono. They then served us a selection of tasty appetizers that were absolutely delicious. There was a selection of drinks to also try. I went for a rum drink that presented a topical fruit flavor that morphed into a subtle hint of rum.

I had a few minutes to chat with Lisa. I learned that she and Talani also have experience with another restaurant in Grit and Tonic in Lebanon, Il. Lisa and Talani have many years of experience in the restaurant business. Their willingness to push away from the normal restaurant format brings an adventure in taste and atmosphere to the dining experience.

Come and visit Le Ono

Le Ono location is at 101 S. Cherry St, O’Fallon, IL. Their hours are Wednesday through Saturday, opening at 5 p.m. The location is causal yet with a sense of style.
