Step into the future with Chuck Richards and Tricia Earnest as they cut the ribbon on their expanded Edward Jones office space. A story of ambition, progress, and the vibrant business community in Belleville!

We’re Bruce and Karen Carlson. We recently moved to the Metro East area of Illinois. It’s a whole new world out there. Our goal with this website is to share our exploration of the Metro East area. As we find businesses and services we use in our daily lives, we’ll share how these businesses and services have helped make our lives better and easier to live.

We’re calling our move to the Metro East area retirement, but we’re not quite sure what that means. By sharing our story with you, we hope you too will gain a better sense of what the Metro East area has to offer and how their businesses and services can improve your lives and build a better community.

It’s a ribbon-cutting

One of the fun things to do when you are a member of the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce is attend ribbon cuttings. Ribbon cuttings are simply a time to celebrate a business’ opening or expansion. Chuck Richards and Tricia Earnest were in the Belleville area, but business was expanding and it was time to move to new office space.

So on November 9th, the new office at 124 Springfield, Ct Suite 100 in O’Fallon had the official ribbon cutting.

There was a nice turnout of folks to celebrate. The office is spacious and allows for a number of clients to be served at one time.

After the ribbon cutting, we all enjoyed a very fine spread from Sugarfire, another O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce member.

Edwards Jones has been serving people’s financial needs for over 100 years. It is one of the best-known and oldest financial services in the country. I hope to do a long interview in the near future. Until then enjoy the pictures.

We hope you are enjoying these articles and are willing to continue to follow along as we share our adventures of learning about life in southern Illinois, This is an exciting area and we are so happy to be part of this area. Our lives are being fulfilled by the people we are meeting. Bruce & Karen.
